What is Electrical Wiring?

Electrical wiring connects plugs to sockets so electricity can power devices safely and efficiently.

Three Important Wires

Brown Wire (Live) - Brings electricity from power source to the device

Blue Wire (Neutral) - Returns electricity back to the source

Green/Yellow Wire (Earth) - Safety wire that prevents electric shocks

• Never touch electrical wires with wet hands

• Always turn off main power before working

• Use proper insulated tools only

Basic Wiring Steps

Switch Off Power

Always turn off the main power supply before starting any electrical work.

Strip Wires

Carefully strip about 1 cm of insulation from each wire using wire strippers.

Connect Properly

Connect brown wire to right terminal, blue to left, green/yellow to top terminal.

Tighten Screws

Secure all connections by tightening screws properly with a screwdriver.
