Description

Null Set (Empty Set)

A set that contains no elements. Denoted by ∅ or {}.

Example: Set of months with 32 days:

Finite Set

A set with a countable number of elements that has an end.

Example: Set of vowels in English: {a, e, i, o, u}

Infinite Set

A set with unlimited elements that continues indefinitely.

Example: Set of natural numbers: {1, 2, 3, ...}

Equivalent Sets

Sets with the same number of elements (same cardinality).

Example: Set A = {1, 2, 3} and Set B = {a, b, c} are equivalent (both have 3 elements).

Equal Sets

Sets that contain exactly the same elements.

Example: {1, 2, 3} = {3, 2, 1} (order doesn't matter).
